Super Bowl Champ


OK it's is Super Bowl Sunday tomorrow and I'm trying to plan ahead. The good thing is it is fast Sunday so that eliminates almost a whole days worth of calories. I am going to allow myself some treats with a promise I will be back on the working train Monday.


Back on the working train contract:

This contract allows treats for the Super Bowl Party but none for week two food consumption.

Day 6 Food

Breakfast: Granola with milk=300 cal

Lunch: Chips and Salsa 200 cal 1/2 salad wrap=125 cal granola bar= 90 cal total=415 cal

Snack: granola bar 90 cal 2/3 cup granola 230 cal= 190 cal
Snack: String Cheese= 80 cal
Dinner Blueberry Muffins (I messed up again on muffins) 400 cal Manicotti 375cal =775 cal

Total= 1890

I ate way too much at lunch cause I missed my morning snack, which usually doesn't matter but I at lunch later than normal. Note to self: Don't wait so long to eat or else over eating occurs.
I promise never to make muffins again. And ask for forgiveness in breaking the "Damn the Muffin" contract. Like I said waste of calories.

Day 5 Food

Breakfast: 2/3 cup granola with milk=300
Lunch: 1/2 burrito 200 cal and granola bar 130 cal=330
Snack: Costco Samples- 2 meat balls and small choco cake= est. 200 cal
Snack: Yogurt with almonds= 150cal
Dinner: Went to Chili's Restaurant Quesidilla Explosion Salad and Chips and Salsa= est. 700cal

Total=1680

Day 4 Food

Breakfast: 2/3 cup Granola with 1/2 cup milk= 300 cal
Lunch: Lettuce Wrap with the usual=250 cal and granola bar 90 cal= 340 cal
Snack: Diet cherry coke= 40 cal cherry syrup
Dinner: 4oz. chicken 110 cal, 1/2 cup brown rice 85 cal, 1 cup mix veggies 50 cal= 245
Snack: 1 apple with peanut butter=200 cal

total calories=1125
Crazy??? That is my lowest amount of calories consumed for the week and I feel really good.

I found a few items that are must haves. This minute maid brown rice is my all time fav. One container = 170 calories which is 1 cup of rice. 1/2 cup of this rice is perfect with a meal. Then to make the rice taste even better I take a little lemon juice and squeeze it on. The flavor is awesome!
The next must have is this organic cascades granola. For a good size bowl with milk= 300 cals and keeps you full until the next snack or even lunch. It is also very affordable.15 minute meal
I kid you not I made this dinner in fifteen minutes. Take three frozen chicken tenders stick in pan and sprinkle front and back with lemon pepper. Cook until done about 10-15 min Microwave instant brown rice and microwave steamed bag veggies Great meal!!!

It's Mine!!! Run and Hide

I never thought I would be acting like a three year old.,and that is exactly what I have turned into. I catch myself yelling my kids to get away from my food cause it's mine! I mean come on, I buy all this special healthy food for me and then all of the sudden my kids want to eat it all. Why is that?
I feel like I have to run and hide just to eat my snacks or else my kids end up eatting half and I still end up being accountable for all the calories. Its not fair I'm getting ripped off!

Day 3 Food

Breakfast: Bowl of Granola=300 cal

Snack: Light yogurt with almonds=150 cal

Snack: serving of peanuts 150 cal

Lunch: Toast with peanut butter and honey=300 cal

Dinner: Taco Time veggie burrito with no sour cream or sauces 400 cal

Snack: Apples with 1 tbsp peanut butter=200 cal

Total cal= 1500



Ok, the best burrito out there is the taco time veggie burrito! I am addicted. Leave out the sour cream and you have the perfect healthy meal. Whole wheat tortilla, rice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and sunflower seeds. It is heavenly. If you live in Kaysville, on Wednesday veggies burritos are on the special. Try one today!

Day 2 Food (this sucks)

Ok this really sucks. I feel like I should have lost ten puonds already.

Breakfast: Wheat toast w/natural peanut butterand honey 300 cal

Lunch: Whole wheat tortilla lettuce, craisins, almonds 1tbs dressing 260 cal half banana 40= 300 cal

Snack: Light yogert with almonds 150 cal

Slip up: one cracker with squezze cheese 40 cal

Snack: Granola bar 100 cal String cheese 80= 180

Dinner: Leftover soup 400

Snack: 1 apple with 1 tbsp natural peanut butter 200 cal

total cal: 1570



Squezze cheese is the devil! So good, but oh so bad! Two Tbsp 90 cal what a rip off!

Day 1 Food

Breakfast: Granola with milk 230 cal
Lunch: Oriental Wrap (wheat tortilla) lettuce,dressing,craisins 250 cal
Snack: Vanilla light yogurt 110 cal. with almonds 40 cal = 150 cal
Dinner: Cheese broccoli Soup 3/4 cup 300 cal Roll 66 cal Mini Muffins 400=766
Snack: Light Popcorn 100 cal
Total: 1496 cal still on track:}
Damn The muffins!!! They were little but I just kept on eating. Note to self: Don't be fooled by the size. I took this picture of the nasty muffins to remind myself they weren't even that good. I wasted 400 calories, that's more than two candy bars.

Week 1


OK so I didn't start yesterday. I ate as much bad for as I possibly could. Come on I had to get rid of the licorice, chocolate and that nut roll I had laying around. I hate seeing food go to waste. It's like when you buy your kids an ice cream cone and they only eat like half of it. You would think it would be easy to toss due to the slobber and the cone being mauled to death, but its not! Its so hard. WHY???

Fat Week

Have you ever had what I like to call a fat week? It's the the type of week where you eat and eat and eat and then Sunday roles around and you say, "This is it! I am starting my diet tomorrow, nothing but good, hearty, healthy foods." So then, you pack in as much bad food as you possibly can, cause you think it's going to be the last your ever gonna get. Well... that is exactly the type of week I had, except this time I'm not going to stuff my face full of naughties. I'm starting today!!! not tomorrow. So join me as I start the journey to what I like to call "NO MORE FAT WEEKS"
